Level Switch
It is a point level sensor. It only detects whether material reaches a single fixed position. It outputs an ON/OFF discrete switch signal. It answers the question: Is there material at this point?
Level Transmitter
It is a continuous level measuring instrument. It continuously measures the real height of liquid or solid material. It outputs a variable analog/digital signal (usually 4-20mA). It answers the question: What is the exact level height?
